Westminster Weather Closings, Delays Wednesday, Jan. 22

Find out what's opening late and closed as Carroll County digs out.

Snow dropped in the mid-Atlantic region all day Tuesday. Wednesday will be cold, with wind chill temperatures forecast to be below zero. Local organizations and businesses are delaying openings or closing all together on account of the snow and cold.

>> Carroll County Public Schools are closed for students. Employees should report at 10 a.m.

>> McDaniel College will open at noon

>> The Circle of Caring Homelessness Board in Carroll County is cancelling the Point-in-Time count scheduled for Wednesday. This important event, done over a 24 hour period, will be held on the planned  inclement weather date, Thursday, Jan. 23 and is part of an annual collection of the number of sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons nationwide. 

>> Carroll Community College and the Mount Airy College Center Will Be Opening at noon Wednesday. Students should check Blackboard for information from their instructors. For information on Continuing Education classes/activities, call 410-386-8457.

>> Carroll County government will open at 10 a.m.
