Christmas in July, Snowballs, Concerts, Kite Flying: Westminster Rec and Parks Activities This Week

July is Park and Recreation Month and Westminster is having a good time celebrating. See what's in store this week.

July is Park and Recreation Month and the Westminster Department of Recreation and Parks has planned a special activity for each day of the month. Here are the fun activities they are hosting this week. 

  • July 22: Block Party at Charles Street Tot Lot! Join Westminster City Recreation Staff celebrate Recreation and Parks month at the Charles Street Tot Lot. Moon bounce, games, and fun for all ages! 6-8 p.m.
  • July 23: Free snowballs in the Park! Locust Lane, 12 p.m. Supplies are limited. 
  • July 24: Christmas Eve In July! Meet and greet with Santa at Locust Lane and find out all about his summer vacation! 
  • July 25: Songs at 6:30 at the Mary Lou Dewey Library Park, 50 East Main Street. The Flying Faders perform. Free. Christmas Day In July! Meet and greet with Santa at Locust Lane and find out all about his summer vacation!
  • July 26: Fly at kite at King Park on your own! Enjoy the large open space at King Park...it is great for flying a kite! Don't forget to try out the play equipment or play a game of volleyball while you are there!
  • July 27: Fun Run at Dutterer Family Park! 10 a.m. Join the Westminster City Recreation staff in a fun run around the trail! No registration necessary. Prizes for all finishers!
