Choral Evensong Service and Concert

The traditional Choral Evensong dates back to 16th Century England and is a 30-40 minute service where the entire liturgy is sung.  Although the congregation joins in singing some of the hymns and prayers, the choir also sings "on behalf of" the congregation throughout much of the service, allowing you time to meditate and enter into deeper prayer through the music in the beauty, serenity, and excellent acoustics of the Stone Church.

Linger and enjoy a concert immediately following the service. Voce Viaggio is a select ensembleof about 30 singers from the Children's Chorus of Carroll County. They have performed throughout the region and have traveled to Finland,  Sweden, and Estonia. 

There will be a reception immediately following the concert. All is FREE and the public is welcomed.  Any free-will donations will benefit the Music Ministry at Ascension.
