Today is the first day of the 2013-14 school year for Carroll County Public School students. Patch has compiled news and information to help the community transition back into school mode.

Both the Carroll County Sheriff's Department and the Westminster Police Department have warned citizens that they will be patrolling roads, crosswalks, bus routes and school zones to ensure safe travels for children.
