Local Man Recognized for Fundraising Efforts

Jeff Sprinkle has raised a lot of money to support the programs at the Y of Central Maryland.

The Y of Central Maryland’s Chief Philanthropy Officer, Jeff Sprinkle, was recently named a “Fundraising Star” by Fundraising Success Magazine and was featured in a recent issue of the magazine for his outstanding fundraising endeavors, according to a news release.

The news release reports that in 2010,  Sprinkle’s involvement with the 35th annual tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. event resulted in $150,000 cash contributions, $150,000 in-kind contributions and more than 500 documented volunteer hours committed to the project—a fundraising record.

"Jeff's passion, determination and dedication, has helped propel the organization to new levels,” said John Hoey, President and CEO of the Y of Central Maryland in the news release.  “Through his fundraising efforts the Y has been able to serve even more families throughout Central Maryland.”
