Local Wineries Fare Well in Governor's Cup

Seven local wineries won awards in the annual statewide competition.

The results of the 24th Annual Governor’s Cup Competition were recently announced and several local wineries brought home the gold (and the silver and the bronze).

Judges awarded 23 gold, 40 silver and 35 bronze medals to wines during the full-day event held in Timonium. Full results can be found on MarylandWine.com.

Many of these award winning wineries and more will be showing off their wares at the 29th Annual Maryland Wine Festival at the on Sept. 15-16. Tickets are $27 in advance and $30 at the gate.
