Wine Drinkers Brave the Fall Rain (Photo Gallery)

Rain didn't stop people from attending The 28th Annual Maryland Wine Festival.

The 28th Maryland Wine Festival was held over the weekend at the Carroll County Farm Museum.

According to the Maryland Wine Festival website, the very first Maryland Wine Festival was held in 1984 at the Shriver Homestead in Union Mills with eight wineries and approximately 4,500 visitors.

The wine festival eventually outgrew its location and moved to the Carroll County Farm Museum where it remains today. The annual event now draws 25,000 visitors and more than 40 wineries.
