Five members were elected to the Carroll Lutheran Village Board of Trustees at the annual Corporation Meeting on September 29.
Donna Kent, a retired computer specialist, and Wanda Lynn, a CPA and partner at Rager, Lehman & Houck, were elected for a first term. David Bollinger, Barnes Bollinger Insurance; Dave Bond, CCRC Actuaries; and Rev. Robin Simpson Litton, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, were elected to second terms. Rev. Kevin Clementson, Grace Lutheran Church and Dean of the Westminster Conference of the DE-MD Synod, joins the board as an ex-officio member.
Retiring members include Paula Langmead, Springfield Hospital Center; Art Wisner, McDaniel College; Sam Edleman, past-president of the Carroll Lutheran Village Residents Association; and Rev. David Shafer, St. Benjamin’s Lutheran Church and past Dean of the Westminster Conference of the DE-MD Synod.
Continuing to serve the board in their existing terms are:

- Richard Simmons, Carroll County Public Schools
- George Thomas, resident, Carroll Lutheran Village
- Marlene Titus, Carroll Community College
At its first meeting on October 1, the board elected its leadership for the coming year:

- Marlene Titus – Vice Chair
- Joseph Hikel – Treasurer
- Kay Betz – Secretary
Carroll Lutheran Village is an accredited, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Westminster that includes 398 homes and apartments, 50 assisted living suites in the Diven House and 103 skilled nursing beds in the Health Care Center. The Village is owned and governed by the Corporation Churches of the Westminster Conference of the Delaware-Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
