New Blog: Coffee News and Ideas
The first post of hopefully many about the world of coffee. The politics and tastes of the world's second most traded commodity after oil.
I'm Dave Baldwin and I own on Main Street in Westminster. Coffee has been a part of my life for years. I started drinking coffee when I was in high school. Little did I know that as I entered my early 60s, coffee would take on a whole new role in my life. In April of 2010 we started a coffee roasting business called Furnace Hills Coffee Company. I'll share with you all at some point why we started the company. It has grown and grown and now we have a roastery on Main Street in Downtown Westminster, MD.
As I begin this blog I want it to be more about coffee (the second most traded commodity in the world) than about our business. I'll share brewing ideas, iced coffee ideas, grinding ideas. I'll share about the politics of coffee. The good coffee can do and how some people use coffee for selfish gain. We'll discuss coffee ideas around the holidays sharing recipes for special drinks as well as share what's happening in the world of coffee.
