A Break from the Heat in Carroll County

Here's a look at the week's forecast, courtesy of the National Weather Service.

We’ve made it through the first heatwave of the summer, though not without losses. Five Marylanders have died this year from heat-related illness – the first was in Howard County, according to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

But, according to the National Weather Service, we’re getting a break. Temperatures this week will reach 90 degrees just once, and there will be plenty of rain to keep things cool-ish.

Expect showers and thunderstorms Monday night, mostly before midnight and temperatures in the low-70s. Watch out for flash flooding in areas with heavy rainfall.
