Carroll County Public Schools Closed and Other Snow Cancellations

Cancellations and delays due to the March 6 snow storm.


Here is a list of closings for Wednesday, March 6.

  • Carroll County Public Schools are closed including Central Office, according to a CCPS phone alert. 
  • McDaniel College closed beginning at midnight and will remain closed through 11 p.m. Wednesday. All undergraduate and graduate classes are cancelled according to a school official. Wednesday evening's performance of "The Sleep of Reason" is also cancelled.
  • The City of Westminster administration offices are closed including Parks and Recreation.
  • Carroll Hospital Center has cancelled all community programs and support groups for Wednesday March 6. The knee and hip screening on Thursday March 7 is cancelled, and the Sleep Awareness Day celebration has been postponed until May 1 according to WTTR Radio
  • Carroll Area Transit System (CATS) is closed.
  • Carroll County government offices are closed. 
  • Carroll Community College and the Mount Airy Center are closed.

Central Maryland Rehabilitation Services is open today for scheduled appointments to 10 am.

The Finksburg Corridor Plan Work Session scheduled for tonight at the Finksburg Library has been postponed due to inclement weather. The meeting has been rescheduled for April 3 at 6 p.m. in the large meeting room of the Finksburg Library, 2265 Old Westminster Pike.
