Carroll County Under Flood Watch Until 6 p.m.

Average rainfall will amount to between one half and one inch although some areas could see more.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Carroll County until 6 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Weather Underground reports that showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to affect portions of Northern Maryland and eastern West Virginia until late afternoon.

Average rainfall amounts will be between one half and one inch, however, according to Weather Underground, isolated amounts over two inches are possible in heavier showers and thunderstorms. The ground is already saturated due to heavy rainfall over the weekend. Additional rainfall this afternoon could cause streams and creeks to rise out of their banks.
