Chance of Snow in Carroll County Thursday

Areas south of Carroll will see more snow.

Carroll County could see snow Thursday, although forecasts are predicting that areas south will see more accumulation.

The NWS is reporting that there is a chance of snow in Carroll County starting Thursday afternoon. There is a 30 percent chance of precipitation and new snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.

Areas south are expected to get more of the storm.

The NWS has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the DC metro area. According to the alert, "snow may become heavy in the afternoon and evening ... could significantly impact the evening rush-hour commute." According to the alert, it is still uncertain how far north the snow will develop.

The chance of snow in Carroll County will continue through 10 p.m. Thursday. The temperature will fall to around 27 degrees.
