Children Celebrated Dr. Seuss at the Town Mall on Saturday

Hundreds attended the Read Across America festivities at the Town Mall of Westminster on Saturday.

March 2 is "Read Across America Day" and Dr. Seuss's Birthday.

Schools across the county are celebrating with special classroom activities like making green eggs and ham for students to try, and dressing in whacky attire.

Hundreds of children donned their red and white striped top hats and participated in the Read Across America event at the Town Mall of Westminster on Saturday. Vendors were on hand with children's activities including crafts, arts, raffles, face painting and book giveaways.
