Daily Dose May 31: Heat, Education, Attitude

Each day, Patch will find five nuggets of news to get your day started.

>> A number worth nothing: 98. Monday we saw a record high temperature of 98 degrees in Baltimore. This ties the old record of 98 degrees set in 1991, according to Weather Underground.

>> Speaking of hot weather, get ready for another whopper today. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from noon until 8 p.m. The temperatures Tuesday will be in the low 90s with a heat index (meaning it will feel like) of up to 105 degrees, according to Weather Underground.

>> Carroll County high school seniors are graduating this week—use Patch to give some kudos. Post an announcement and send the link to grandma. Think it can’t get better than a free, digital graduation announcement? Hold on! You can upload photos and/or video with the announcement. I know you want to post that lovely picture of your graduate when he was 2 and naked in the bathtub. Ok, you can post his senior picture too, or video of her making that winning soccer goal or playing the lead in her freshman year play.
