Emergency Preparedness Expo at Westminster Home Depot

Learn best practices to be prepared for an emergency at this free event.

The Carroll County Citizens Corps Council and are partnering to help educate the community for emergency situations.

The event will be held at the Westminster Home Depot, 835 Market Street from 9 a.m. til 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.

The expo provides an opportunity for the entire family to become familiar with the many aspects of emergency preparedness, response and recovery. Featured are live demonstrations, static displays, informational exhibits, give-a-ways and raffle prizes.

Participants include: Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association (CCVESA), Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, Westminster City Police, Carroll County Offices of Public Safety and Public Works, Carroll County Health Department, Carroll Hospital Center, Carroll Community College and many more.

The American Red Cross Blood Mobile will also be onsite for blood donations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Emergency Preparedness Expo is a fun and educational family-friendly event open to the public.

Now this is a fine example of business and OUR GOVERNMENT working together. What, conservatives, is wrong with that? I hope Home Depot profits while our government provides us with knowledge of the PUBLIC SERVICES we should be glad to pay our taxes for. THANK YOU!
