Drum Circle

Why go: Create rhythms with an amiable group – no experience necessary.  All ages welcome in this homey atmosphere. Bring your own drum; some instruments provided.

 Purse Auction

Why go: Find a new (gently used) purse at The 6th Annual Silent Purse Auction. Proceeds benefit , which supports homebound mature adults with the reassurance of companionship through daily, scheduled telephone contact.

Craobh Rua’s Celtic Fare
Where: Carroll Arts Center, 91 W. Main Street

Why go: Enjoy rich, acoustic performed by Craobh Rua (pronounced Crave Ru-ah). Based in Belfast, this four-piece group unfolds some fine traditional fare -- everything from tender ballads to toe-tapping jigs.  Entertainment brought to you by Common Ground on the Hill.

Biz Expo
Where: Carroll Community College, Business Center, and 1601 Washington Road
When: Saturday, April 2, 9:30 a.m.– 2:00 p.m.

Why go: Local businesses showcase their services and wares to generate new customers and business. Carroll Technology Council will sponsor a Tech Debate, "Kids and Technology Access, Out of Control?"

Chamber Music
Where:  McDaniel College, The Forum, 2 College Hill
When: Sunday, April 3, 7:00 p.m.

Why go: Relax while you listen to music by Beethoven, Brahms and Frank Martin performed by The Westminster Trio and Friends. Musicians include:  David Kreider on piano; Melissa Zaraya on violin; Esther Mellon on cello; Lynn Griffith on French horn; and David Duree on clarinet. The program will include Johannes Brahms' Trio in Eb Op. 40 for Violin, Piano, and French Horn; Beethoven's Trio in Bb, Op. 11, for Clarinet, Piano, and Cello; and Frank Martin's Trio on Popular Irish Melories (1925).
