Health Department Looking for Black Dog

The Health Department is looking for a dog that bit a person in Sykesville.

The Carroll County Health Department is asking area residents for help in finding a dog that bit a person around Hawkridge Lane in Sykesville.

The dog was described as having a large build, flop ears and a short to medium length black coat.  According to the Health Department, it is likely that the victim of the attack will be treated with a series of post-exposure rabies shots if the dog has not been found and verified to be in good health by the morning of June 15.

If you have any information that may help locate this dog or its owner, please contact the Carroll County Health Department at (410) 876-1884 or the Carroll County Humane Society at (410) 848-4810.
