Health Department on Lookout for Black Dog

Locating the dog may help determine if a bite victim requires a rabies treatment.

is asking area residents for help in finding a dog that bit a person on Wampler Lane between Royer Road and Stacey Lee Drive in Westminster, according to a news release.

The dog was described as having a medium build with a long black coat.

According to the Health Department, it is likely that the victim of the attack will be treated with a series of post-exposure rabies shots if the dog has not been found and verified to be in good health by the morning of April 19.
