Homemade Wine Contest at Maryland Wine Festival

Do you make your own wine, and think it’s good enough to win recognition for its taste?

Your chance to place your wine in the spotlight could come next month, when the The Maryland Wine Festival comes to Westminster.

The festival will include an amateur wine judging competition. All entries must be submitted by Sept. 8 and must be produced and bottled by the person entering the competition, organizers said.

The wine festival is being held from 10 to 6 p.m. on Saturday Sept. 15 and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday Sept. 16. It is located at the Carroll County Farm Museum, 500 S. Center St. in Westminster. Regular adult admission to the event is $27.
