It's Carnival Time in Carroll County

Here is what you need to know about three carnivals in the area this week.

Where: Gamber carnival grounds
When: May 28 through June 4, 6 p.m. til midnight
Details: The carnival opens tonight! Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m. Monday, weather permitting. Visit the Gamber Volunteer Fire Department website for more information.
Cost:  An all night ride pass is $20 except on Tuesday and Thursday it is $17.

  • Saturday, May 28: Rock-N-Roll Relic’s (Oldies, Variety) 
  • Sunday, May 29:  Traditions Unleashed (Country)
  • Monday, May 30:  Rivers Bend Band (Mixed Variety)
  • Tuesday, May 31: Aspen Run (Blue Grass)
  • Wednesday, June 1: The Bird Daddy’s (Variety)
  • Thursday, June 2: Salem Bottom Boys (Bluegrass)
  • Friday, June 3:  Big Cam & The Lifters (Oldies)
  • Saturday, June 4: No Tell Mo Tell (High Energy Southern Style Band)

St. John Parish Carnival

WhereSt. John School Grounds, 43 Monroe St.
When:  Monday noon  to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Details:  Free Memorial Day concert Monday at 7 p.m. with Nashville recording artist Erin James. On Tuesday, May 31st, the Baltimore Raven's Mascot Poe will visit the carnival grounds and on Wednesday evening June 1st, the Baltimore Oriole's Bird will be on hand for some carnival fun.
