UPDATE: Snow, Sleet Forecasted for Westminster Friday

The National Weather Service reports that Carroll County could see sleet and snow after 1 p.m.

You shouldn't be surprised to hear that we are expecting wintry weather as it seems that wintry weather on Friday has been a recurring theme in 2013.

The National Weather Service predicts that there is a 60 percent chance of snow and sleet between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. with little or no ice or snow accumulation expected.

Friday night freezing rain is likely before 3 a.m., then a chance of snow, freezing rain and sleet according to NWS. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation and little to accumulation is expected.

On Saturday, expect snow, freezing rain and sleet before 10 a.m., then rain. The high will be near 40 according to NWS.
