This Patch Thing: Community Photo Gallery

See something interesting around town? Share with Patch!

Patch will be posting a series of articles that detail how you can use the Patch platform to get news that is important to you out to the rest of the community. We'll call the series "This Patch Thing".

Patch is more than an online newspaper. We are a platform for community news and events and that means the community can be a part of deciding what news and happenings are important.

We have a community photo/video gallery so that Patch users can show off what is happening in your world. Hosting a fundraiser? Post pictures after the event to show off how successful the event was. Does your child look particularly cute or funny in his or her Halloween costume? Show us! Do you have video of kids playing sports or a neighborhood clean up? We want to see.

So don't be shy. Be a part of sharing community news in Westminster.

Check out Westminster Patch's photo gallery.

To upload photos or video:

Be sure you have a Patch username and password. If you don't, just click on JOIN in the upper right hand corner of the Patch homepage. You must agree to terms of use, i.e. you will only post appropriate items. Additionally, this is not meant to serve as business advertising, those posts will be removed.

Log in and click on Pics & Clips at the top of the page. From there, just follow the prompts. Your photos do not have to be large files, in fact upload will be easier if the photos are not large files. Also be sure to add a caption so people know what/who they are seeing in the photos/video.

Once you add your photos, you can send the photo gallery link to friends and family to share your photos.

Patch will also regularly choose a photo out of the community gallery and feature it on the homepage, so make sure you have that caption attached.
