Wakefield Valley Water Tank Prepares for Makeover

The Wakefield Valley area water tank will be repainted this spring.

The Wakefield Valley area water tank is going to be repainted in the early Spring of 2013.

Current activity going on around this area is temporary for the cell phone carriers to remove their equipment for the water tank to be repainted according to a news release.

The cell towers will remain in service for the project duration. Cell tower equipment will be re-attached to the tank at the conclusion of the project and the temporary equipment will be removed.

This project will not require any new construction, and should take several weeks to complete according to a city news release.

Westminster's City Administrator Marge Wolf said that the project needs to be done so that rust does not become an issue. The tower will be painted on the inside and outside.
