Whiz Kid: Sasha Renay Dew

Name: Age: 14

Accomplishments: Sasha has played basketball for nine years with the Westminster Recreation and Parks leagues, the Westminster travel-team, Central MD Attitude, MD Sure Shots and Winter’s Mill Varsity Girls basketball. She also plays softball with Westminster Recreation, – and she is a member of Winters Mill High School Junior Varsity softball.  In 2004, Sasha enjoyed karate.

Key to Sasha's Awesomeness:  

Sasha wants to succeed in her education and in sports. She wants to attend college and one day go to the WNBA.

Advice to students who struggle with trying to balance everything:

“Don’t try to overdo it. Pace yourself,” Sasha said. “If you are good at something- stick with it and don’t let others keep you from reaching your goals.”
