14th Annual "A Culinary Experience" to Benefit Rape Crisis Intervention Service

On Monday, October 14, 2013, Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County
(RCIS) will host its 14th annual "A Culinary Experience" fundraiser.  The event will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at
Martin’s Westminster.  Local restaurants,
caterers, and bakeries will showcase their talents by serving everything from
soup to desserts. The evening will also include silent and live auctions and
music by The Standard Delivery Combo.  This is an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful
variety of local cuisine while supporting the needs of residents of Carroll
County affected by sexual violence. Tickets are $60 each, or a table of 10
seats for $550.

Child sexual abuse, rape and sexual assault are issues that transcend boundaries of gender, age, race and socio-economic status.

RCIS is the only facility in the area trained to work with the very

specific issues associated with the trauma caused by sexual crimes.  The staff provides professional and
compassionate intervention, 24-hour hotline services, advocacy services,
therapeutic counseling, and education to promote prevention and community
services.

To support the fundraising success of “A Culinary Experience,” a variety of sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals and businesses.  Your tax deductible contribution can make a difference in the life of someone in our community negatively affected by sexual abuse, rape, or sexual assault.  For additional information and/or tickets,  contact the office at 410-857-0900.
