Chamber Music on the Hill Presents Pianist Nancy Roldan and Violinist Jose Cueto

Saturday, May 17, 2014 7:00 p.m. (This concert, scheduled for November,
2013, was postponed due to a power outage at McDaniel College. Happily, Nancy
and José have returned! Their performance will be in beautiful “Little” Baker
Chapel, McDaniel College)



 Acclaimed
violinist José Miguel Cueto and
pianist Nancy Roldán perform
worldwide as solo, collaborative artists and with orchestras. Cueto is concertmaster of Concert Artists of Baltimore Orchestra,
serves on the faculty at The Peabody
Institute
and is Artist in Residence at
St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Roldán taught at The Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, presides the American Liszt Society’s Baltimore-Washington
Chapter and is founder/director of the Liszt-Garrison
Festival & International Piano Competition
, held at Notre Dame of Maryland University



This concert will
include Franz Liszt’s Second Elegie S. 131, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 30, No. 2 in C minor, Pampeana by
Alberto Ginastera and  Nancy
Roldán’s violin/piano transcription of  Las
cuatro estaciones porteñas (The four Buenos Aires Seasons)
by Àstor Piazzolla. Meet the artists at a
free reception immediately following the concert.
