Carroll County Cancer Prevention Study-3 Kickoff of the American Cancer Society

NATIONAL CANCER PREVENTION STUDY-3 KICKOFF OF THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY FOR CARROLL COUNTY AT CARROLL HOSPITAL CENTER

What if you could prevent even one family member from hearing the words, “You have cancer?” The American Cancer Society is seeking cancer fighters in Carroll County to participate in Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3), a historic, nationwide study to help researchers better understand the genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that cause or prevent cancer.  The famous CPS-1 established the link between smoking and lung cancer in the 1950s.  Recent CPS-2 findings have linked obesity to cancer risk.
