As the new year begins, why not make a truly valuable resolution “I will become more involved in a child's life.”  The Parent Guide Program aims to help parents and grandparents in any reasonable manner to
achieve greater emotional and academic success for their child.  We realize that the school system and community groups are working to help the young people directly but we also know that in spite of their efforts there is still quite a gap.

The Parent Guide Program formed several years ago as a volunteer group and has as a stated goal to make available to the community a regional representative that is not under contract with the public school but will assist in providing direction to appropriate members of either
the school or community when requested by a child's family or guardian.  Sort of a “go to guy” when you are not certain where or who to contact.  For additional information about the program see page 51 of this year's  CCPS Informational Calendar.
