Volunteers needed for planting trees on farm

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is looking for volunteers Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help plant 800 trees on a farm near Westminster. The five acres of trees will help keep Little Pipe Creek clean as cattle craze in nearby pasture. Partners include the Carroll County Soil Conservation District, the Maryland Department of Agriculture and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. This event is suitable for adults, families and community groups. Dress for the weather, refreshments will be provided. Registration is required. Contact Carmera Thomas, MDRestoration@cbf.org
