Volunteers needed to plant trees on farm

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is seeking volunteers Saturday,

Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in New Windsor to help plant 1,000 native trees and

shrubs to create a five-acre pollution buffer along Sam’s Creek where it runs

through the Lovell Farm. Registration is required at www.cbf.org/calendar. Partners in the

project include the Carroll County Soil Conservation District, Washington Gas

& Energy Services, Sterling Planet, The Chesapeake Bay Trust, the National

Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and the Maryland Association of Student Councils.
