Wine Festival, Pet Parade, Flea Market and More in Carroll County this Weekend

29th Annual  Maryland Wine Festival

Where:  Carroll County Farm Museum, 500 S. Center St., Westminster

When:  Saturday, Sept. 15, 10 a.m.-6  p.m. / Sunday, Sept, 16, noon – 6 p.m.

Description:  29th Annual Maryland Wine Festival attractions include tastings from local vineyards, wine seminars, food from local restaurants, artisans and craft vendors, and lots of live music.

Pricing: Adults (21+): $27-$62, Designated drivers: $20, Children (13-20): $20


Where:  120 E Baltimore St, Taneytown

When:  Saturday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m.  Parade begins at noon, contests begin at 1:30 p.m.

Description:  Pet lovers are invited to bring their pets to this free event.  Event includes parade, contests, prizes, raffles, vendors and more. 

Pet owners must read and sign waiver to participate.    Well-mannered pets on non-retractable 6' max. length leash or small pets (such as bunnies) in secure carrier are welcome. Accepting donations of nonperishable pet food and treats to benefit the "Pets in Need" program.

When:  Saturday, September 15, 7:30 a.m.

Description:  Newcomers to Freedom Fitness are invited to come and check out the gym as well as participate in free classes.

When: Saturday, Sept. 15, 10 a.m.

Description: Children will learn about what Carroll County was like in the 1800’s through themed stories, songs, crafts and activities.

Where: stadium

When: Saturday, Sept. 15, 2 p.m.

Description: The McDaniel Green Terror football team will take on Muhlenberg for their third game of the season. The team enters their first home game with an 0-2 record. 

Pricing: $5 to drive into the "bowl", free to walk in


Community Flea Market/Yard Sale

Where: Deer Park UMC

When: Saturday, Sept. 15, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Description: Enjoy bargain shopping and a breakfast, lunch & bake table with yummy food. 

Pricing: free to attend
