Local Animal Group Offers Up Gift Ideas for Pet Lovers
Animal Advocates of Carroll County has your furry friends in mind this holiday season.
Animal Advocates of Carroll County has some great gift ideas for the holidays that will make pet lovers happy while at the same time help animals in local shelters.
The Animal Advocates of Carroll Co. is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals, responsible pet ownership, shelter pet adoption and pet spay and neuter, all with the goal of increasing the live release rate of animals from our local animal shelter.
Animal Advocates is selling 2014 calendars for $15. The calendars contain artwork from local kids. The calendars can be shipped for a $5 shipping and handling fee or can be purchased at local stores including Birdie's Cafe (233 E Main St., Westminster, JJ's Corner Store (3405 Ridge Rd. Westminster/Taylorsville) and Glazed to Perfection (2021 Liberty Rd. Eldersburg).

Calendars can also be purchased at an Animal Advocates event. While picking up a calendar, pet lovers can get their pets photographed with Santa. Here are scheduled Pet Pictures with Santa dates:
- Dec. 8 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Glazed to Perfection in Eldersburg
- Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at TSC Store on Baltimore Blvd. in Westminster
Animal Advocates will also be at TownMall in Westminster on Dec. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. Pet Pictures with Santa will not be offered at this event.
