Your Holiday Recipes: Hash Brown Casserole

Want something new on the holiday dinner table this year? Patch readers shared their favorites.

Marti Mason offered up the following recipe on the Westminster Patch Facebook page. She added that her kids call it heaven in your mouth. I can't wait to try it.

 

Potato Casserole

Ingredients:
32 oz hash browns
1 can cream of chicken soup
16 oz sour cream
8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
1 stick melted butter/margarine (save 1/2 for the top)
sprinkle of garlic salt
2 to 3 cups of crushed corn flakes, not frosted (you want enough to completely cover the top of the casserole)

Directions:
Mix together in large bowl
Smooth out in 13x9 pan
top w/ crushed corn flakes (the one with the rooster on the front NOT FROSTED)
pour remaining butter on top
Bake uncovered 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours
