New Blog: HSP Joins in on Hope Sunday

Local church honors community service organizations in recognition of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Human Services Programs of Carroll County, (HSP) will be joining 20 other community service organizations for "Hope Sunday" on September 11, 2011 at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Hampstead. The event is an effort to show that hardship and loss can bring hope for a better tomorrow.

Pastor Denise Millett and the congregation of Shiloh United Methodist Church will lift up those members of the community whose mission is to serve and provide support for those in need. A church service, beginning at 9 am, will recognize local fire and police departments and emergency services personnel for their committed work and dedication to the community. As part of the day's activities, each organization will have agency representatives on hand to provide informational materials and answer any questions about their mission.

HSP is thrilled to be part of Hope Sunday and is looking forward to the opportunity to reach out and share the many good works its employees do to bring hope to Carroll County's low income and at-risk population.
