'Hospice Heroes' to be Recognized at 'Taste of Carroll'
Six individuals will be recognized for their contributions to Carroll Hospice at the 13th Annual Taste of Carroll fundraising event.
, the nonprofit serving Carroll, Frederick and Baltimore counties, has announced the 2012 class of “Hospice Heroes” to be recognized at Taste of Carroll, on Monday, May 7 at Gertell Academy. This year, six individuals will be recognized for their contributions to and support of Carroll Hospice’s services and programs.
The 2012 Hospice Heroes are:
- Dr. Joseph Caricofe, MD, Physician
- Lorna Rice, Support Services
- Dawn Van Der Stuyf, Administration
- Sammy Thilker, Nursing
- Ann Saldana-Chavez, Hospice Aide
- Suzanne Albert, Donor/Advocate
The 13th annual Taste of Carroll celebration will feature more than 40 local restaurants and wineries, as well as a live and silent auction.

Tickets for Taste of Carroll are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.CarrollHospice.org or by calling the Hospice Development office at 410-871-7220.
Over the past 13 years, Taste of Carroll has raised over $900,000 dollars for Carroll Hospice. The proceeds help support inpatient and outpatient hospice care services as well as a full scope of bereavement programs provided to family members and the community at large.
