Our Central Maryland Attitude girls basketball team is in the process of traveling to Florida to compete in the AAU 8th Grade DII National Championships, held at the ESPN Sports Zone.
Our team is made up of girls from both Carroll County and Howard County. Our Carroll County girls (Kaila Brown, Arianna Cottom, Jayce Klingenberg, Brooke Riley, Mackenzie DeWees, Nicole Roberts, & Marlee Dzergoski) will be feeding into Manchester Valley, Winters Mill, and Westminster High. Our coaches are Heather DeWees (MVHS), Larry Butera, Tina Gough, and David Dzergoski. Our first pool play games are on Tuesday, at 8:00 a.m. (ouch!) and 6:40 p.m. It's going to be a long day! Wednesday is another day of pool play, and then Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are bracket play. Before the hard work starts, the team will be going together to Universal Studios on Sunday for some fun.
