Blog: Meet Casey-Cuteness Overload

Casey is one adorable puppy with big, beautiful brown eyes and a sweet temperament. He is looking for a family to call his own.

Hi Guys! My name is Casey and I’m one adorable pup, with a sweet disposition and big, beautiful brown eyes that are still full of puppy wonderment and joy. At only six months old and 40 pounds, I’ve already had to face the world on my own and have learned far too young that it can be a scary place.

I was picked up as a stray in Arlington County and no one ever came to claim me. Can you believe that!? All of a sudden, I found myself alone in a shelter and I was pretty scared. The good people at the shelter have been looking out for me though, and contacted Mutts Matter to get me out of there and into a foster home. Things are starting to look up for me now.

At the shelter, I would get a little excited and barky meeting new people, but that’s only because I was nervous, and shelter living was not a good fit for an awesome young pup like me. When my Mutts Matter friends came to meet me, they took me on a walk and, within minutes, I had calmed down and could greet dogs and new people with ease and a happy tail wag.

I’m quite the handsome boy and Mutts Matter thinks I may be some type of smooth collie/hound mix. I have a very soft, medium-length coat, and the soulful eyes of a hound. I’m friendly and warm up to folks quickly, and I take treats very gently. I was the perfect model on my recent photo shoot and sat still for my pictures like a grown-up. Since I already know “sit” and “down,” it was a piece of cake, and they gave me a treat every time! Yay for me!

I really like other dogs and would do well in a home with a buddy who I can learn from and play with. I’m crate-trained and walk pretty well on a leash, but I need some practice. Like all young puppies, basic obedience training would serve me well and I will need daily exercise and play to stay healthy and balanced. Fortunately, exercise and play are good for humans too – so it’s a win-win for all of us.

I have a very even temperament and I’ve got a medium energy level. I can run and play with the best of them, but we can relax and hang out on the couch too. I’d love to be around kids, would be great with other dogs, and can be a fit with all kinds of families. Basically, I’m a sweet, cute, perfect little puppy in need of some people to love, so will you be my lifetime companion?

Congratulations graduates! May you be as successful in the next part of your journey as you were atRead More St. John School.

I don't live in your district and I am not a member of your party. I have watched you during yourRead More meetings with the commissioners and you handle things very well. You have a balance of private and public sector experience which is a necessary background to have to guide the county. It will be nice to have a competent person with your qualifications to run against someone who is totally unqualified but never had any opposition in the last election. Now she will have to attend the voter forums and explin her views and positions. Let the chips fall where they may. The emperor will have no clothes.

Wow, this is great news. Hopefully, 1 down and 4 to go!! Make sure Frazier shows up at theRead More political forums this time. She chose to miss every one last time, so she did not have to answer questions on her positions and her horrible record the first time around in 1998-2002. She will try to do that again to get re-elected.

If Frazier runs for reelection in 2014, I hope someone will have the nerve to ask her pointblank, onRead More camera, about her relationship to Roscoe Bartlett. Folks who've been around Carroll County for a while know the answer: there is no relation. She just tacked that on when she decided to run the first time. It may be her maiden name - or not - but she has never bothered to answer the question. She just let folks assume there is a connection, and lots of folks fell for it.
