Meet Trinity: A Big Chunk of Love

Meet Trinity, a sweet, social, and affectionate pup looking to find a loving family.

Hi Guys! My name is Trinity and I am one sweet bully pup. I’m about 2.5 years old, weigh 50 pounds, and am a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Mastiff mix. I have a big, infectious smile that lights up when I see you, and I have captured the hearts of all my Mutts Matter friends. My foster mom says I’m one of the sweetest dogs she has ever met, and she’s met a lot.

Not only do I have a winning personality, but I have a very even temperament and can roll with the punches. I would fit well in most situations; I’d be great with an active single owner or laid-back couple, and I’d be a perfect family dog too. I’m good with kids and was raised in a family with kids of all ages, from infants to teens. Unfortunately, someone in my family developed allergies, and I ended up surrendered to a local Maryland shelter. It hurt my feelings to be abandoned, but in retrospect, I don’t think they paid me a lot of attention. I’m confident there’s a better life waiting for me, and a family who will love and cherish me for the awesome dog that I am.

The good news is that I lucked out, and Mutts Matter hooked me up with a great foster home. Not only does my foster mom take excellent care of me, she owns a dog day care and boarding business, so there are always lots of cool dogs for me to play and socialize with. It’s awesome! I love to hang out and interact with other dogs, and even have a few boyfriends that I’m particularly fond of... I smother them with kisses all the time, but sometimes they just ignore me. I don’t get it. You guys can see that I’m gorgeous, so I guess maybe they have girlfriends back home?

My foster mom describes me as a sensitive soul. I’m eager to please and respond quickly to discipline, but I also shy away from loud noises and raised voices, which may stem from my experiences growing up. I will benefit from positive reinforcement and training to help build my confidence and trust.

I’m such a good-natured dog; I love people and other dogs, and have zero aggression. I know how to share, and you can easily take toys, bones, or food away from me. I’m already potty-trained, walk well on a leash, and know some basic commands, like “sit” and “stay.” I’m pretty good with recall too, and will come when you call me - unless the glorious smells of nature distract me, and then I need a little extra encouragement. Once I’m in my new home and have someone to work with me, I’ll be an excellent student.

What it comes down to is that I’m just a cool, lovable dog. I’m playful, but also laid back and a great snuggler. My foster mom laughs when I leap in the air to give her kisses. I know I’m not really supposed to jump, but I just want to share my love!

Any family lucky enough to adopt me will have a loving and loyal companion for life.
