Robert Glen Liebno, a retired insurance adjuster for 32 years, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Carroll Hospice’s Dove House in Westminster of complications from laryngeal cancer. He was 77.
Born in Randallstown, on April 30, 1936, he was the son of Glenroy Liebno and Ethel (Kirk) Liebno.
A graduate of Millford Mill High School, he was an insurance adjuster for 32 years and former member of the National Guard. He lived in Daniels before moving to Carroll County in 2006. He attended Gary Memorial United Methodist Church in Daniels for 30 years.
His hobbies included collecting antique toys and trains and traveling to bluegrass festivals and car shows in his motor home. He was a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and NASCAR and participated in Sprint Car racing.
Liebno is survived by his wife of 54 years, Harlean (Moxley) Liebno; brother Herbert Leibno; daughter Crystal Liebno Chasen and her husband, Scott Chasen of Manchester; son Darrell Liebno and his wife, Jodi Liebno; and four grandchildren: Christopher Liebno of Carolina; and Ryleigh, Tyler, and Jensen of Marrietta, Georgia.
The family will hold a gathering at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Gary Memorial United Methodist Church, 2029 Daniels Road, Ellicott CIty.
