3 Masked Men Rob KFC, Police Search for Suspects

Police are looking for three men who robbed the Westminster KFC Monday night, injuring at least one employee.

The at 400 N. Center St. in Westminster was robbed by three masked men Monday at about 9:45 p.m., according to police.

The Westminster Police Department reported that shortly before closing Monday, three masked men entered the restaurant displaying handguns and confronted the manager on duty demanding that he open the business safe.

Two other employees working in the restaurant were accosted by the gunmen; one employee was struck in the mouth by the gunman with the weapon, police said.

The manager was unable to open the safe, but the gunmen took an undetermined amount of cash from the registers and fled on foot, police said. A canine track from the location failed to generate any further information, police said.

The injured employee was treated at Carroll Hospital Center for a laceration to the lip and released, according to police.

Police released the following descriptions of the suspects:

  • The race of the suspects was undetermined, no estimate on their age.
  • Two of the suspects were described as 6'0'' to 6'2'' in height, about 200 to 220 pounds.
  • The third suspect was described as “shorter than the other two."
  • One suspect was wearing a brown pair of overalls.
  • One suspect was in black clothing.
  • One was wearing a gray jacket with a hood

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for the robbery, police said.
