NYE Party at Crowne Plaza Ends in Stabbing

A 23-year-old Baltimore man was driven to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

A New Year's Eve party at a Timonium hotel ended in violence, with one man sent to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to a police incident summary.

The report describes a 23-year-old Baltimore man who was stabbed by an unknown partygoer just before 3 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza, Tuesday morning. The pair was reportedly involved in a heated argument, according to the report.

It is unknown at this time the relationship—if any—between the victim and the suspect.

A friend drove the 23-year-old to the hospital, where his life-threatening injuries were stabilized following emergency surgery, police said

No further information is known at this time.

WBAL-TV reported that three 911 calls were made during the 1,000-person party at the Crowne Plaza for a fight, the aforementioned stabbing and a drug overdose.

There were hand made cardboard signs at every intersection advertising this party. It said it was to benefit a "charity." No wonder there was such chaos. The organizers probably had too many people show up. Baltimore County Liquor Board should prohibit ANY gathering that is not a presale. Also if it is a public event, there must be an armed security presence on site.

Kaori, it is sad to read day after day that some people resort to violence to settle a personal problem. What is wrong with walking away? Some people were taught to use violence when someone "disrespects" them. Personally, I want to live and don't want jail, so I would walk away.
