One New Windsor Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested, Police Search for Second Suspect

Police said the female who robbed the bank last week and the man who robbed the bank this week were working together.

Carroll County Sheriff's officials, working in conjunction with Baltimore City police, charged a man in the robbing of the New Windsor State Bank on Tuesday, Sept. 24, according to a news release. Police said the man was working with a woman who robbed the same bank last week.

On Sep. 24, shortly before 11 p.m., detectives from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Baltimore City police detectives found Jeffrey Barry Thomas, a 54-year-old Union Bridge man, at a Motel 6 in Baltimore City, according to police. Thompson confessed to committing the robbery at the New Windsor State Bank at 213 Main St. in New Windsor earlier that day, police said.

Police said that a second suspect, identified only as “Deanna," drove Thompson from Baltimore City to the bank to commit the robbery on Sept. 24, and that she is the female suspect from the Sept. 18 robbery of the same bank. Thompson acted as the driver in that incident, police said.
