Police Investigate Report of Attempted Robbery

Police investigated reports of an attempted robbery in a home on South Bishop Street in Westminster.

Westminster Police were investigating an attempted robbery that was reported on South Bishop Street Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the victim said a white male entered the residence through an unsecured front door, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The victim denied having money and ran from the home.

The suspect fled from the home on foot towards South Center St, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, unknown age, 6’0” to 6’02”, with a stocky build. Police said he was wearing a dark colored ski mask, blue sweatshirt and dark pants.

The victim was not injured in the incident.
