Police: Man Broke into Westminster Home, Assaulted Two Women

The suspect was charged on multiple counts and held without bond, police said.

A Pennsylvania man was charged on multiple counts after police say he broke into a Westminster home and assaulted a woman and her daughter. 

On Dec. 26 at approximately 10:16 p.m., police said they arrived in the 4500 block of Salem Bottom Rd. to find Jeffrey Allan Hacker, Sr., 50, in the front yard choking a female victim with a phone cord. Hacker, of Hanover, Pa was taken into custody by Carroll County Sheriff's officers. 

Hacker had broken into the victim's home while she was not there, police said. He waited for the victim, a 51-year-old woman, to arrive home at which time he attacked her and her 24-year-old daughter, according to police.

Both victims received minor injuries as a result of the assault and were taken by ambulance to Carroll Hospital Center where they were treated and released, according to police reports.  

Hacker also received injuries sustained during the attack and was treated and released to deputies who transported him to central booking where he was charged and held without bond.

Hacker as charged with first and second degree assault, first and fourth degree burglary, malicious destruction of property, reckless endangerment, and harassment.

The suspect was known to and had previously dated one of the victims, police said.
