Westminster Homeowner Robbed at Gunpoint

Police said a masked gunman forced his way into the home on Blacks Schoolhouse Road and took cash.

A man forced his way into a home on Blacks Schoolhouse Road Thursday morning and robbed the homeowner at gunpoint before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Department.

Just before 11 a.m. Dec. 20, Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress at a single family home in the 3400 block of Blacks Schoolhouse Road, police said.

The homeowner reported that an unknown white male approximately 6-foot, with a medium build wearing a mask, gray jacket and gray pants forced his way into the home, displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said.  The robber bound the victim and ransacked the home before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police reports.

The victim was not injured and able to quickly call for help police said.

Police said it is unknown if a two-tone brown colored "heavy duty" truck that pulled into the home's driveway around 10 a.m. and immediately left was involved in the crime.
