Westminster Livestock Auction Damaged in Early Morning Fire



The Westminster Livestock Auction facility at 1117 Old New Windsor Road in Westminster was damaged in an early morning fire Tuesday. 

Deputy Fire Marshal Brian Quick reported that the fire caused an estimated $200,000 in structural damage to the building and $100,000 in damage to the building's contents. 

The Fire Marshal is investigating to determine the cause of the fire, which began around 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8. The two-alarm fire took 40 firefighters approximately an hour and a half to control, according to the Fire Marshal's office.
