City of Westminster Begins Collecting Christmas Trees

How to get rid of your tree once it comes down.

When you finally take down the blingy tree decorating your living room (which the National Fire Protection Association recommends you do sooner than later), the City of Westminster will help you dispose of it.

The City of Westminster has announced through its Department of Public Works that the City will collect Christmas trees curbside on the following Mondays:

  • Dec. 30
  • Jan.6
  • Jan. 13
  • Jan. 27

After January, trees will be collected curbside during limb/brush pickup on every other Monday following the bulk trash schedule. This Schedule is available on the City website at www.westminstermd.gov or by calling the information desk at 410-848-9000.

Trees can also be dropped off between Dec. 26 and March 31 at the Westminster Skate Park. The Westminster Skate Park is located at the corner of Tuc Road and Locust Street, behind City Hall. Trees may be piled next to the dumpster at the park.
