Confused by the Affordable Care Act? Visit a Carroll County Library

Trained assisters, available at each of the Carroll County libraries, will help residents understand health care options.

Confused about your new healthcare options? The library has trained staff available to help and is offering several free information sessions.

Trained navigators and assisters will be on hand to provide information about the Affordable Care Act and answer questions at upcoming information sessions taking place at each library branch in Carroll County.

The following information sessions are scheduled and open to the public:

  • Westminster: Monday, Nov. 25 from  6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 
  • Eldersburg: Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Finksburg: Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • North Carroll: Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. 
  • Taneytown: Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Mt Airy: Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Can’t make it to an information session? Trained professionals are available at all six Carroll County Public Library branches to help residents understand the Affordable Care Act.

Assisters have completed over 40 hours of training and can help create an account on Maryland Health Connection, review plan options, answer questions, and assist with Medicaid enrollment as needed.
