County Creates Online Form for Filing PIA Requests

Citizens now have access to an online form to file Public Information Act requests from the county.

The Carroll County Attorney’s Office recently added an on-line Public Information Act (PIA) request form to the county website.

This new on-line form allows PIA requesters to simply complete and submit the form on-line in one step rather than printing it, completing it and then mailing it to the county for processing.

The on-line form can be found on the County Attorney’s section of the website. Follow this link to the access the correct webpage: http://ccgovernment.carr.org/ccg/attorney/pia/

On-line requests will be received by the County Attorney’s office and processed in the same manner as the more traditional hardcopy forms. Requesters don’t have to use the new form; they may still call or email their PIA requests to the county.

“It is our goal to make the system as easy to work with as possible in order to provide the citizens of Carroll County with the information they need,” said Timothy Burke, County Attorney.
